A colorful addition has been added and is now exhibited on the marina facade at the Sheraton San Diego Hotel & Marina as the property launched its multi-million dollar renovation.
Sheraton San Diego Hotel & Marina partnered with local artist, Channin Fulton for the 375-square-foot custom mural for the newly renovated property.
The sunny-inspired mural nods to the vibrant San Diego harbor, bringing the waterfront-facing deck to life. Drawing on its roots as a community hub for locals and guests, a redesign for the Marina Tower focuses on the hotel’s public spaces, which underscores Sheraton’s legacy as the world’s gathering place.
“As a locally-working artist from San Diego, I was delighted to design and install a lively, sunny-inspired mural for Sheraton San Diego Hotel & Marina. The mural implements their intention of staying anchored as ‘”‘The Heart of the Harbor’ and ‘Where San Diego Comes Alive,’” she said.
The mural’s warm yellows and cool blues represent the warmth of San Diego sunshine and the cooling waters of the relaxing poolside experience and iconic marina location.
